Southern Soaring Leagues 50th Anniversary International Festival of Gliding was an awesome success!!!
We were fortunate enough to have Philip Kolb join us for 12 days of flying. Starting out with our annual F5J International and then a week of GPS triangle racing and scale flying. Pilots from around the country and the world came and joined us for a great time. Philip gave many talks on glider design and every aspect of GPS triangle flying , from course flying , glider set up and pilot physiology. The week culminated in 2 competitions with all pilots putting into practice what they had learned throughout the week.
